about

STILL IN TROUBLE was released in 1994 on Avenue Communications Records. Produced by Erik Nielsen.

Detroit-born Denny Brown has been a singer-songwriter for over two decades. Since his early days studying guitar with Reverend Gary Davis and Doc Ross, he wanted to be what his is today, a dynamite singer and accomplished songwriter. In the early seventies, he was an active participant of the synthesis of folk and rock. Denny was a regular performer at New York's Gaslight Cabaret, opening shows for the best New York had to offer, people like Muddy Waters, Bonnie Raitt, and John Prine. He also recorded an album with Bukka White for Victoria Spivey. Since those days Denny Brown has been working on his collection of songs. This man's warm intimate presence shines through on his urban rock and roll songs that reflect his energy, range and intelligence.

All songs written by Denny Brown and produced by Erik Nielsen. A renowned producer, Nielsen has also drummed for Elvin Bishop, The Pointer Sisters, and Grammy-winning Zydeco artist Queen Ida.
